On Monday, August 11, from 4:00–6:00, Traverse Mountain families are invited into the school to attend our Meet the Teacher event. Please join us and help your students find their new classrooms and meet their teachers before the big first day of school. Families will have opportunities to tour the building; purchase PTA memberships, T-shirts, and sweatshirts; and make plans for arrival and dismissal on the first day of school. This will be an open-house format with opportunities to sign up to serve as room parents and/or volunteers. Specific information about grade-level curriculum, classroom events, and expectations will be addressed during the Parent Info Night on August 25 from 6:00–7:00 p.m.
During our Parent Info Night, each teacher will share a 15-minute presentation describing what parents and students should expect during the year in their grade level and individual classroom. Information about curriculum, homework, incentives, interventions, and upcoming events will be shared by your student’s own classroom teacher. This is a great time to ask questions and learn how to partner with your student's teacher to support your child.
